Terms of Use
Version 2026-09-02.2 · In effect from 2 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“Showfinch”, “we”) for use of the service at www.showfinch.com. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, do not create one.
1. What the service is
Showfinch gives you a page at an address of the form www.showfinch.com/yourname, holding links you choose, along with statistics about how that page is used. We host and display what you put there. We do not create it, and we do not check it before it is published.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over.
- You must give a real email address and keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person or organisation per account. Do not sell or transfer it.
3. Your page address
You choose your address when you create your account, and on the free plan it is then fixed. This is deliberate: the address is what other people save, print and share, and changing it breaks their links. Paid plans include up to three changes.
When you change your address, the old one keeps pointing at your page for 30 days and cannot be claimed by anyone else during that time. After that it is released and anyone may take it. Addresses that clash with our own pages — such as admin, support or settings — are reserved and cannot be registered.
We may reclaim an address that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, or is used to deceive. We will tell you why.
4. What you may not publish
You are responsible for your content and for everywhere your links lead. You may not use Showfinch to publish or link to:
- Anything unlawful in India or in your own country
- Material that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights
- Content impersonating another person or organisation, or misrepresenting your affiliation
- Malware, phishing pages, or anything designed to deceive a visitor into giving up credentials or money
- Sexual content involving minors, or any material that sexualises a child
- Content that incites violence, or that harasses or threatens a person or group
- Fraudulent schemes, including fake goods, fake investment returns and deceptive giveaways
- Content prohibited by Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021
5. Reporting content, and our role
We are an intermediary under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We host what our users publish; we do not originate it and do not review it in advance.
Grievance Officer: [GRIEVANCE OFFICER NAME], [GRIEVANCE OFFICER EMAIL], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]
Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days. Requests to remove content showing a person in a sexual act, in nudity, or by impersonation are acted on within 24 hours. We remove content when a court or an authorised government agency orders it, and otherwise when it breaks section 4 above.
6. What we may do to your account
We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms. Where it is reasonable we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it. For content that is unlawful or that puts people at risk, we may act immediately. You can appeal to the Grievance Officer.
7. Advertising on free pages
If your page is on the free plan, it carries advertising served by [AD NETWORK NAME]. That is how the free plan is paid for, and it is a condition of using it. Paid plans carry no advertising.
Being straight with you about what this means for your page:
- An advertisement appears on your page alongside your links, and your visitors see it.
- You do not choose which advertisement appears, and you are not paid for it.
- The advertising network sets its own cookies on your visitors’ browsers, once they have agreed. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what it receives.
- We will not knowingly place advertising for gambling, alcohol, tobacco, adult content or political campaigns on a page, and you can tell us if something inappropriate appears on yours. Networks make mistakes; tell us and we will act.
- Upgrading removes advertising from your page immediately.
8. Paid plans
Paid features are described where you buy them. Prices include taxes where required. Payment is taken for the period ahead. You may cancel at any time and keep the features until the period you have paid for ends; we do not refund part of a period unless the law requires it or we have failed to deliver.
9. Your content stays yours
You keep all rights to what you publish. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, and to display it to people who visit your page. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups which age out on their own.
10. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from settings. Doing so removes your page, your links, your uploaded media and your statistics. Your address is held for 30 days and then released. We cannot restore a deleted account.
11. Availability and liability
We work to keep Showfinch running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The service is provided as it is. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost audience or indirect loss.
We are not responsible for the sites your links point to. Following a link takes a visitor somewhere we do not control.
12. Changes to these terms
Each version is dated. If we change these terms materially we will ask you to accept the new version rather than change them underneath you.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of [CITY], India have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove protections you have under the law of your own country.
See also our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.
Questions about this document can go to the contact address above. If we change it in a way that affects your rights, we will ask you to accept the new version rather than change it underneath you.
